Tornadoes Hit Close to Home

The Dallas / Fort Worth area was lashed by nearly a dozen separate tornadoes yesterday.  This hit very close to home for me.  I was anxiously following the weather reports because a storm larger than the ones that produced the tornadoes was coming over us at nearly the same time. Fortunately all we got locally was over a half inch of much needed rain.  I spend most of my lunch break watching this video live on television while waiting to see if a warning would be issued for us.  This is scary! The most morbid thing about it was when it hit a tractor trailer lot and tossed them around over a hundred feet in the air like small cardboard boxes.  I am amazed and prayerfully grateful that absolutely no one was killed in any of these violent storms!  I believe this to be a true miracle!  I don’t really have any other news this week, but hey, that was plenty of news enough for me!

Quote of the Day:
me:”I have no problem with my insurance covering other ppls sex-lives or whatever, as long as it is up to the INSURANCE COMPANY and NOT FORCED by the GOVERNMENT! Just like I have no problem with restaurants banning smoking as long as it’s up to the RESTAURANT owner, NOT the GOVERNMENT, THAT’s what FREEDOM is all about!”,
