About the Author (me)

I refuse to “categorize” this blog, reserving the right to talk a/b ANYTHING that’s of interest to me at the moment! As a matter of fact, it (this blog) IS all about me! I’m also open to suggestions and love comments and ideas from others. I keep it “G-rated” / “family-friendly”, though sometimes I may link to courser content with a warning to readers.

I migrated this blog from Livejournal jimpossible84.livejournal.com to here after having a lot of server down-time issues there.

Many blogs give you lots of narcissistic self-portraits, long whiny rants, silly, flowery photos of cute kittens, kitschy knickknacks, and silly teen-aged fashions; but with JimPossible you get all the cool stuff all the time including interesting personal stories about people, places, events and even sweet little lovable me and my busy, exciting life (LOL); thought-provoking political and religious commentary and satire, stunning photographs and images covering a wide variety of subjects, entertaining comic strips that’ll leave you ROFL, hot links to cool videos and great music, useful tech tips and links to some of the best of other blogs’ stories and articles as well as important news you can use right now!  You can even comment anonymously and tell me how much I suck (or rock)!  What more could you possibly ask for from a blog?  And, if you do think of something, hey, just ask / tell me.  You can anonymously ask for and receive my inspiring wisdom and advice personally for free too!  All things are possible w/Jimpossible!  I also try to provide links to news and commentary that you usually WON’T get from the “mainstream” news (since that’s easily available elsewhere!)

If you have a question, ask me, or just want to chat – drop me an email (turnerjw784 atsymblethingy yahoo dott com – incl. “wildstar84” in subj & it won’t get marked as spam) or instant-msg me.  BTW, this blog allows anonymous questions / comments, so don’t be shy!

I want to be your swell internet blogger who does all the really neat stuff you want a swell internet blogger to do. In fact this is probably the most swollen blog you’ll find, lol!

Two cartoon superheros I identify with
Derick Wildstar & Kim Possible

About me:

Blog name: “Wildstar“, aka “Kodai” – old anime character alter-ego (image) from high school days – we had very similar looks and personalities. “Jimpossible” – Old blog name from a nickname my kid & I mutually came up with for me after we had watched too many Kim Possible cartoons together back in the day!

Fav. quote / Bible verse: “For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Son that whosoever Believeth in Him should NOT perish, but have ETERNAL LIFE” John 3:16

Religion: I am (we all are) a sinner, saved only by the grace of Jesus Christ, who is God, took on human flesh, willing died on a cross, and rose to life eternal on the third day for the salvation of all who believe on Him.  I would like everyone to KNOW Him & would like to share His love and salvation to any/all who is/are interested!  Have you come to Him as a sinner and fully believe the Gospel and are trusting on Him (God) alone for eternal life? – read more here!: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Basics/gospel.htm

Politics: “The best government is that which governs least”.

WARNING: We DO sometimes talk a/b politics AND religion here! Opposing views welcome – I promise I won’t flame you, but I WILL delete / ignore flaming, mean, profane or personal-attack comments and after being warned, you may be blocked!

I stumbled on your blog while trying to find information on a term that was used while I was trying to figure out Dew Point. The term was “Misery index” and I found your information to be awesome. What an incredible amount of work that must have been. A lot of tracking. I just wanted to say thank you. The app. sounded very interesting.
We live on opposite ends of the states ( I live in Minnesota ) While the temperatures are not as warm as where you are the humidity is right up there, making it nice to know what the misery index will be before attempting outdoor activity.

Thank you! Most of the work was in writing up the blogpost though. I haven’t been blogging stories as much lately since I began to feel that hardly anyone ever read them, but comments like this are always very encouraging to me and I do plan to continue this blog as things come up on my heart and mind to write about.
